- Areas of personal deficiency (Cardiographics, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, etc.)

Emergency Medicine is a broad field so most electives have the potential to be helpful. Students with an interest in emergency medicine should take one emergency medicine elective at an institution that has a residency in that specialty in addition to their home EM rotation.
