| Special Note: | Urology can accommodate a total of 5 students at any one time for all rotations. If there is a conflict, then preference is given to students planning Urology as a potential career and selecting UROL-401 (Urology Sub-Internship). |
| Description: | This elective is designed to be an immersive experience that will introduce the student to the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of urologic malignancy including Prostate cancer, Kidney Cancer, Bladder Cancer and Testicular Cancer. Students will participate in all aspects of the care of urologic oncology patients: outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and operating room. Students will be exposed to open and minimally invasive/ Robotic oncologic surgery. Students will attend Tumor Board and Urology Educational Conferences and will work under the direct supervision of the Urologic Oncology Faculty and Fellow. The student will have the opportunity to give a 10-minute presentation at the end of the rotation on a Urologic Oncology topic of their choice. |
| Method of Evaluation: | Evaluation will be on the basis of the student's overall participation on the service and graded on a PASS/FAIL only basis. |
