Course Title: Combined Anatomic & Clinical Pathology

Periods Offered: Year round
Prerequisite: Completion of MHD or other equivalent Pathology course. Available to third and fourth year students.
Special Note: Preferably, the student will have completed as least one clinical rotation prior to this elective.
Description: The Department of Pathology would like to encourage students both with an interest in a pathology career and those pursing a clinical career to explore the scope of services offered by the Pathology department. This includes, but is not limited to, all aspects of anatomic pathology (cytopathology, surgpath, dermpath and neuropath), clinical pathology (blood bank, microbiology, chemistry, HLA, flow cytometry) and molecular pathology.
Method of Evaluation: Attendance, daily and overall performance, and evaluation on final presentation.
