Prerequisite: Completion of OB/GYN, Medicine, and Surgery clerkships.
Special Note:

*When not filled as a "Required Sub-I."

Report on the first day to Labor & Delivery at 6AM for Morning Report.
Description: The student will participate in active management of patients in labor in the delivery suite, assist on operative deliveries and assist on cesarean sections. The student will be expected to formulate differential diagnoses, propose appropriate treatment plans and implement treatment plans. The student will be given more responsibility than a junior clerk and, with supervision, will be allowed to function as a subintern on the OB service.
Method of Evaluation: Instructor's evaluation of clinical performance, review of case list, reading and knowledge of current literature and oral presentation.
