Elective is Monday-Friday, weekends not required.

Description: This rotation involves exposure to clinical perinatology (high-risk pregnancies), fetal ultrasonography and prenatal genetics. We focus on the care of women with medical complications during pregnancy (diabetes, chronic hypertension, lupus, etc.) as well as obstetrical complications (twins, preeclampsia, PPROM/PTL, etc.) The Sub-I will be involved in the care of high-risk pregnancies both on the L&D antepartum service and in the High-Risk Prenatal Care clinic. The student will attend resident education sessions on Wednesday morning. 
Method of Evaluation: Feedback from junior students, residents, fellows and attendings; at the end of the rotation, the Sub-I will perform a 15-minute presentation on an interesting topic they saw during the rotation.
