Prerequisite: Completion of Medicine or Surgery Clerkship; open to SSOM students only.
Special Note:

*Available to M3 students for four-week rotation only. Available to M4 students for two- or four-week rotation.

On the first day of the rotation, report at 8:30AM in Blg. 200, Rm. 1392 (GI Fellows' Office).

Description: Students will see and evaluate both inpatients and outpatients with GI and hepatobiliary problems as part of the GI consult team. Emphasis is on appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to commonly seen GI problems. Provides an excellent opportunity to observe endoscopic and other diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. Involves attendance at regularly scheduled teaching conferences and learning aids.
Method of Evaluation:

Direct observation with input from residents/fellows/attending.

This course is graded Honors/High Pass/Pass/Fail.
