Services and Prices


Sequencing Services *

Amplicon Sequencing, $1,500 (up to 96 samples)

  • Sequence PCR-amplified DNA, up to 750bp in length per fragment.
  • Required Input: Sequencing-ready PCR product, 0.5ng DNA in 10ul water

Microbiome Community Analysis, $4,500 (up to 96 samples)

  • Bacterial 16S RNA or fungal ITS microbiome community composition analysis.
  • Required Input: 1pg – 1ng DNA

Gene Expression Analysis, $5,000 (up to 20 samples)

  • 3’ RNA digital transcriptome analysis for relative gene expression.
  • Required Input: 10pg – 10ng total RNA or 1 – 1000 cells in water

Bacterial or Mitochondrial Genome Re/Sequencing, $3,000 (up to 20 genomes)

  • Sequence/Re-sequence bacterial or mitochondrial genomes (100 – 1500 Kb/genome).
  • Required Input: 20pg – 1ng DNA

Targeted Gene Panels (Enquire for Custom Gene Panel Costs)

  • High-resolution sequencing, from DNA or mRNA, for a pre-selected custom panel of up to 1,000 genes.
  • Required Input: 20ng DNA or 25ng – 5ug total RNA

Computational Biology and Data Analysis Blocks *

Basic Block (Moderate), $500

  • Approximately 4-8 hours total.
  • Examples of types of support:  Identification of differential abundance, detection of significantly enriched functional annotations, generation of manuscript-ready figures.

Standard Block (Large), $950

  • Approximately 8-20 hours total.
  • Examples of types of support: Machine learning and computational modeling, advanced statistical analysis, metabolic modeling from transcriptomic or microbiome data.

Advanced Block (Substantial), $2500

  • Approximately 20-40 hours total.
  • Examples of types of support: Complex or predictive computational modeling, computational methods development, and biomarker discovery.

* Each LGF Sequencing Service returns raw sequence data, in the form of FASTQ files. Each LGF Sequencing or Data Analysis Service also returns a complete LGF Analysis Report that includes publication-ready methods summary, data QC results, and initial data analysis as appropriate to user needs, data collected, and experimental design (e.g. statistical analysis for differential expression, enriched function identification, data classification/clustering, sequence assembly and preliminary annotation or SNP/INDEL detection, and publication quality data summary figures).


Other Services

Pathogen Detection, $1,500 for up to 150 sample wells

  • Choose from hundreds of possible pathogens for detection by RT-PCR. Analysis includes positive control for pathogen DNA of interest.

DNA/RNA Extraction from tissue or cell culture, $35 / sample

  • DNA or RNA extraction from user-provided tissue or cell culture.

User Data Saved on Physical Media, $10 / 16GB Thumb Drive

  • User data can be provided on physical media for secure data transfer or data backup.
