Recruitment and Outreach Committee

Members support in-person and online recruitment initiatives, including providing tours to visiting candidates, hosting tables at recruitment fairs, and participating in web chats/discussions.

  • Commitment is based on need; most of the work is throughout the academic year and sometimes during the summer.
  • This committee is typically comprised of students (M1s-M4s).
  • Committee members usually participate in virtual Zoom Q&A sessions or in-person campus tours for up to one hour at a time.

Review Committee

Members review applications using an online portal and assess candidates based on a clearly identified rubric with a holistic, missions-driven review process.

  • Each committee member is asked to give one to three hours per week from July through February of each cycle.
  • Committee members complete reviews anywhere/anytime via remote access of the online admissions portal.
  • No scheduled meetings are required.
  • This committee is typically comprised of faculty, staff, alumni, and M3 students.

Interview Committee

Members are responsible for interviewing and vetting academically viable candidates for professional potential, mission fit, and overall excellence.

  • Interviews are scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on most Tuesdays and Thursdays from mid-August through the end of February; committee members provide their availability via the online admissions portal.
  • Typically, each interview is 45 minutes (virtual) to one hour (in-person), not including any prep. time needed to review files before an interview day.
  • Members provide a written assessment of applicants after each interview through the online admissions portal.
  • Members typically include faculty, staff, and M2 students.

Selection Committee

Members assess candidates after review and interview to provide a final and holistic score. This quality control group considers assessment scores and written comments regarding each candidate.

  • Each committee member is asked to give one to three hours per week from September to March.
  • No scheduled meetings are required.
  • Evaluations can be completed anywhere/anytime via remote access to the online admissions portal.
  • This committee is typically comprised of senior faculty and M4 students who have served on previous Admissions committees.

Executive Admissions Committee

Members review all comments and feedback from all other committees and vote on which candidates should receive offers of acceptance.

• This committee meets every second and fourth Monday of every month.
• Three-year appointments are required for each member: the first year serving as ex-officio and the remaining two years as a voting member.
• Committee members are selected by appointment only.
