2nd Annual Women's Cardiovascular Symposium

Nearly 70% of postgraduate medical trainees reported no or minimal training on sex-based medical concepts. Results from a nationwide survey published by the Women's Heart Alliance show that only 22% of primary care physicians and 42% of cardiologists feel extremely well prepared to assess CVD risk in women. Experts will speak about gender-based approach to specific cardiovascular disease pathologies in terms of screening, prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Pre and post clinical vignettes will assess comprehension and clinical knowledge gained from each session. This annual symposium occurs every spring.
