About

Department/School/Division: John Felice Rome Center
Campus: John Felice Rome Center
Years at Loyola: 8 years full-time (almost 10 between part-time and full-time work)

What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola? Loyola’s Rome Center has given me the opportunity to work in and with many different departments, which keeps things interesting. Since Loyola’s Rome Center has such a small staff, we also all wear many “different hats” and that keeps me on my toes, can be professionally rewarding, and prepares me for working and learning on the fly.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee? Working alongside renowned academics and inspirational professionals to organize an international conference in 2009 focusing on the strengths and challenges of migrant women in the Mediterranean area.

What does Loyola's mission mean to you? A great deal. It’s a commitment to expanding service, justice and care for the individual as a whole. I try to incorporate these principles in all that I do in hopes of truly being a woman for others.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day? Knowing that the strengths I’m able to share with others and the life that I am able to enjoy couldn’t have been possible without the hard work and sacrifices of my parents. I am grateful for them, and that makes me want to give back and support others as they’ve done for me.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride. Loyola gear!

Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you. I was an EMT during undergrad and for a time wanted to pursue being a paramedic in NYC (my hometown).
