Volunteer Opportunities

Service to others is engrained in the culture of Loyola University Chicago, a central value of the University’s Jesuit identity. When students volunteer their time and talents, they uplift others and strengthen their local community. Through service, students also gain an opportunity to discover new interests, stretch their own capacity, and earn valuable perspective to inform their practice.

Volunteer resources at Loyola include:

Office of Community Service & Action

A Division of Mission Integration, the Office of Community Service & Action (CSA) bridges the campus and the community.  Through its various programs and initiatives, such as Loyola4Chicago and LUCserve, CSA connects students to service and advocacy opportunities in and around Chicago.

Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship

The Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship, or CELTS, advances Loyola’s Jesuit, Catholic mission of “expanding knowledge in the service of humanity through learning, justice, and faith.” CELTS facilitates experiential, high-impact learning for students by placing them alongside faculty and community partners in engaged scholarship.
