The event, Influencing Extraordinary Lives, will acknowledge outstanding student work in the areas of public service communication, public relations, advertising, and integrated strategic communication. The winner of the public service communication category will receive the Ebeling PR-ize™, an academic scholarship of $2,000.
This year’s featured panelists and SOC alumni are Lizet Gonzalez and Molly Tullis.
Gonzalez is an Account Supervisor in the Hospitality and Lifestyle practice at DKC’s Chicago public relations office. She works on key food & beverage, consumer, and lifestyle accounts such as Grubhub, Hello Bello, Trunk Club, the St. Jane Hotel, and PuppySpot.
Tullis is currently a Digital Account Executive at Ketchum PR, with garnered expertise as an influencer on campaigns for Nike, Herbal Essences, and Covergirl. In 2016, she co-authored the book Blogger in Chief: How to Get Paid to Live Your Life.
Both will discuss their experiences working in the new media space.
The event is open to Ad/PR juniors and seniors, alumni, industry professionals, faculty, and staff. Attendees are encouraged to network in a relaxed and professional atmosphere with a reception of light appetizers & cocktails, as well as a prize raffle to conclude the evening.
