When he was nine, Gary won $50 for selling the most Drix cleaner in a school-band fundraiser. Marketing-wise, he's been trying to top that ever since.
Gary is a Group Creative Director/Senior Vice President at Cramer Krasselt in Chicago, the second largest independent advertising agency in the United States. He is the creative lead on Edward Jones Investments, NPR, the Alzheimer’s Association and RightTurn.com. He also has extensive involvement in Porsche North America, and was creative lead on the brand from 2011-2014, the four most profitable years in its history.
Previous to CK, Gary spent 17 years at Leo Burnett, where he was Executive Creative Director on Morgan Stanley, Kellogg’s, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Nintendo.
Gary’s work has been recognized by multiple awards shows, including the One Show, Communication Arts, the Webbys, the FWA, the Effies, Mobius and the London Festival.
Gary graduated from Indiana University with a major in journalism and a minor in Bobby Knight. He has three children and a pug whose face looks like it was hit by a bus. He hosts a podcast called So There! You should listen to it.
Gary has guest-lectured extensively at Indiana, the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan, Northwestern University and University of Illinois.
All this speaking of Gary in the third person is making Gary uncomfortable, so Gary needs to stop now.
