Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ)
October 25-28, 2024
Washington, DC

What is the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice?

The annual Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ) gathers members of the Ignatian Family in solidarity to learn, reflect, pray, network, and advocate in the context of social justice. Participants from Jesuit schools, parishes, and social ministries are empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked. After learning about justice issues and connecting them to Catholic Social Tradition, IFTJ participants engage in advocacy to affirm justice in policy and practice.

In 2024, the advocacy issues we will focus on are:

  • Humane Migration Reform (immigration justice)
  • Care for Creation (environmental justice)

The Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice takes place in Washington, DC each fall. A delegation from Loyola is selected through an application process. Apply to join us this fall! Note that we will depart campus on Friday, October 25th.

Applications will be available here by Monday, August 26.

Applications will be due by Sunday, September 8.
