Katrice Miller

SCPS Paralegal Instructor

Katrice Miller brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as an instructor in the Paralegal Studies program at SCPS.

Miller teaches Introduction to Paralegal Studies (PLST 331) and Business Organizations (PLST 362). She has also previously taught Litigation Topics for Corporate Paralegals (PLST 366). Her classes are filled with a diverse mix of students, from those pursuing a bachelor's degree to those enrolled in the certificate programs. She understands the unique challenges of adult learners because she was one herself.

“I worked full time as a paralegal while I attended law school. I attended school part time in the evening from 6 to 9, and it's personal for me because I was one of them as well.”

Miller understands that for many adult learners, returning to school can be daunting; however, she encourages prospective students to take the leap, emphasizing that SCPS is structured to support their success.

“We are mindful of the lifestyles these students have as well as the families and the jobs they have. SCPS is the perfect place to take that leap. Just because you have a family or are working full-time does not mean you have to stop your dreams or your careers. You know the objectives that you want to pursue.”

Beyond SCPS, Miller serves as in-house counsel at Starbucks and works as a business and career coach. As an educator, mentor, and advocate, she continues to inspire students to embrace lifelong learning and confidently step into their future careers.

"SCPS is the perfect place to take that leap. Just because you have a family or are working full-time does not mean you have to stop your dreams or your careers. You know the objectives that you want to pursue.”
