Call for Proposals
Theme: Re-imagining Student Success
Submission Deadline: Monday, October 29, 2018
Loyola University Chicago staff, faculty, administrators, and graduate students are invited to submit a proposal to present at the Inaugural Student Support Services Conference to be held on February 8, 2019 at the Lake Shore Campus. We welcome proposals for presentations or posters that relate to student services at Loyola University Chicago.
Proposals that pertain to one of the following areas are highly encouraged:
- Assessing and improving student success
- Ignatian values in action
- Academic advising
- Implementing and sustaining co-curricular initiatives
- Financial Wellness
This conference will strive to provide a local professional development and networking opportunity for staff, faculty, administrators, and students at Loyola University Chicago. We look forward to engaging presentations and dialogue as we learn from the good work done across campus.
Proposals must be submitted via the online form by Monday, October 29, 2018. All proposals will be reviewed by the conference committee and presenters will be notified by November 30. Proposals will be evaluated based on relevance to the conference theme, connection to work done at Loyola University Chicago, and appeal to conference attendees.
Presenters can choose from the following format options:
Educational presentation: These sessions will run concurrently. They are appropriate for presentations on research, innovative practices, theory application, or successful programs and initiatives. These presentations may be formal lectures or informal discussions. These sessions will be 50 minutes long.
Poster session: This session provides a more informal opportunity to network with colleagues while presenting new ideas or programs. This will also give the presenter the opportunity to solicit feedback while presenting their work visually.
