This reading will certainly help them better understand and appreciate Italian phonology, lexis, syntax and register.
The objective of this course is to foster the students’ exploration of Italian contemporary culture through contextualized language practice;in addition, the story will allow students to deepen their knowledge of some still unsolved social problems in Sicily.”Il giorno della civetta”should heighten interest, enrich vocabulary and serve as the starting point for discussion and conversation in class.
