John Felice Rome Center

Safety and Security

Located on the first floor, as you enter the main JFRC building, the Reception Desk serves as the safety and security hub for the campus, as well as an information source for our students. The Reception Desk is staffed 24/7, providing services such as bus ticket sales, taxi services, and maps of the city.

The John Felice Rome Center is a privately owned campus of Loyola University Chicago. From 8:30a.m.–5:00p.m. a receptionist is available at the front desk. From the hours of 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m., an Italian security guard is on-campus providing security and assistance to students.

Each day one Student Life Assistant is on duty for a 24-hour period. The Dean of Rome Student Life is also available 24/7.

Student IDs

All JFRC students are given a JFRC student ID at the start of the semester or session. When returning to campus after 10:00pm, students must show ID to enter the building to ensure a safe and secure campus. A lack of ID at that time will result in documentation and the student will likely incur a fine. If a student loses the JFRC student ID, a new one will be provided for a fee.
