ATM and Business Office

The JFRC has a Bancomat, Italian for "ATM," on campus. The ATM takes Mastercard and Visa. A number of banks are also within walking distance in the neighborhood. Please contact your bank before departure for information to find out compatible ATM networks, withdrawal fees and international transaction fees. It is important to contact your bank before leaving for Rome to place a travel notice on your account. If you fail to do this, you will be unable to use your card and it will be blocked by the issuing bank.

Business Office:

The Business Office at the JFRC handles several financial transactions: money exchange, cashing of traveler's checks, and the collection of various fees. Exchange US cash and traveler’s checks (no commission), pay for books, study trips, and conduct sanctions. The hours are 1:30-3:30PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

The money exchange service is limited to changing US dollars to Euro. The rate of exchange is posted each working day.

Traveler's checks may be cashed at the Business Office. Please note that no personal checks may be cashed at the Rome Center.

Several fees are also collected by the Business Office such as textbooks, Study Trip payments, and damage payments and fines. Payment in full of the amount billed must be received by the due date or a late payment fee will be added to the student's account.
