Dr. Leila Zammar earned her PhD from the University of Warwick (UK) after obtaining two MPhils from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ and a Master Degree in “Lifelong learning” from the University of Rome ‘Roma Tre’. She has been adjunct professor at Loyola University of Chicago JFRC since 1995, where she currently teaches Introduction to Opera. Dr. Zammar has also taught courses for other institutions and universities and has participated in numerous conferences and workshops among which the 61st and 62nd Annual Meeting of the Renaissance Society of America (Berlin, Germany, 26-28 March 2015 and Boston, USA, 31 March–2 April 2016). She is a member of the editorial board of the scientific international journal Arti dello Spettacolo/Performing Arts.
