About

Barbara Castaldo specializes in contemporary Italian literature. Her doctoral thesis on Italian author Pier Paolo Pasolini was awarded the Premio Pasolini in 2009. Her research interests include law and literature scholarship and comparative literature. She has published articles on contemporary Italian authors including Sandro Veronesi, Marco Lodoli, Ennio Flaiano, and Pier Paolo Pasolini, and has appeared in a number of TV documentaries and radio interviews for Rai Storia (Italy), Arte TV (France-Germany), and Österreich 1 (Austria). She is currently working on a book about Pier Paolo Pasolini’s legal trials and is professor of Italian and comparative literature at Loyola's John Felice Rome Center.
