Arts LLC
The Arts in Society Living-Learning Community (ALLC) will provide a space for students to explore an academic and co-curricular interest in the creative arts, broadly defined – including Theater, Visual Arts, Music, and Dance. In addition, in the Jesuit educational tradition, there will be an emphasis on social justice and using the arts to create a more just society.
At the end of one year in the Arts Living-Learning Community, students will be able to:
- Understand the role and value of visual and performing arts in the culture at large
- Demonstrate an understanding of human creativity and the role of the visual and performing arts as a mode of creative communication in a global context
- Be able to observe, discern and reflect the arts as a vehicle for social change
