San Francisco Hall
On Sunday, October 11th, 2015 two San Francisco Hall staff members ran the Chicago Marathon after months of training - Assistant Resident Director Naseeb Bhangal and Resident Assistant (RA) Brandi Bates. With a finishing time of 3:29, Naseeb qualified for the Boston Marathon while also raising over $2,000 for Mercy Home Boys & Girls. Supervisors, peers, and colleagues all came out to support the women in their efforts to complete their first marathon. The support shown that day by fellow Ramblers was felt not only by the runners but also by those sharing and investing in the passion of their teammates.
This passion carried over into another race - the Hot Chocolate 15K on Sunday, November 8th - for RAs Dorian Manion, Joseph Fell, and Brandi Bates. “Sincerely, it was really nice to see how the San Fran staff have bonded so much that we each take an avid interest in each other’s personal lives and we’ve become more than just a staff of co-workers but friends and family” - Dorian. Staff members have gone above and beyond to support each other’s passions and experience something new.
San Fran is a staff dedicated to supporting each other’s lives both inside and outside the hall. Members have accomplished creating a dynamic team and are excited to continue working with each other and their residents throughout the rest of this academic year!
