Rambler Success Program

Program Description

The Rambler Success Program is a yearlong program filled with enriching learning experiences that will benefit the successful Rambler through graduation and beyond. With successful completion of your individualized plan, you will be granted full admission at LUC at the start of the second year. 

Summer Transition (Aug 19 - 23)

  • Meet your advisors, mentors and academic coaches Create your best learning strategies
  • Develop increased academic skills
  • Participate in learning strategies workshops
  • Launch your Rambler Success Program learning agreement and portfolio
  • Get to know your way around the LUC campus
  • Make friends and have fun 

First Semester (Fall Freshman Year)

  • UNIV 101 (First Year Seminar), UNIV 112 (Strategies for Learning Course), and UNIV 102 (Loyola Seminar)
  • Supplemental Instruction and Supplemental Learning Assistance courses
  • College writing and a cohort class from a list of specially designed Core courses
  • In-depth regular academic advising
  • Individualized development of skills, self-awareness and strategies
  • Peer mentoring
  • Loyola 360 Retreat
  • Career Self-Assessment Workshop

Second Semester (Spring Freshman Year)

  • Cohort class from a list of specially designed Core courses
  • Update your learning agreement and Rambler Success Program portfolio
  • In-depth academic advising
  • Individualized development of skills, self-awareness and strategies
  • Learning activities, workshops, etc.
  • Peer mentoring and academic coaching
  • Presentation of your successfully completed Rambler Success Program portfolio

Beyond The First Year

  • Continued academic advising support from the RSP Advisors
  • Quarterly RSP electronic newsletter to keep students informed of events, scholarships, and other opportunities
  • Continued participation in the RSP mentoring program
  • Workshops and programs
