Words of advice from Professor Kmet
"Don’t be afraid to buck expectations and pursue the unpredicted," says Carolyn Tang Kmet, senior lecturer.
Carolyn Tang Kmet, senior lecturer in the department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, shares advice for Quinlan students at the beginning of a new academic year:
"Life is full of constant change, challenge and uncertainty. I spent many years questioning if I was headed in the right direction, with my career path, with my personal relationships…it felt like nothing was going according to plan.
"Looking back on my life, however, the path I took was certainly not the path I intended, but honestly, it turned out better than anything I had ever envisioned.
"As you learn more and have more experiences, your initial idea of what you want to do with your life may change. Embrace that evolution! Don’t be afraid to buck expectations and pursue the unpredicted. And stay in touch with your professors! We truly love hearing where life takes you."
