Adjunct Instructor of Marketing


Drawing from over 25 years of marketing leadership experience, Eric Minor brings real-world expertise and a passion for teaching to the classroom. His unique background combines technical training as an electrical engineer with extensive marketing success at Fortune 500 companies, offering students a distinctive perspective on data-driven marketing strategy and innovation.

As former Chief Marketing Officer at the University of Illinois, Eric led a 15-person marketing team that achieved record enrollment during unprecedented times. His corporate experience includes senior marketing roles at PepsiCo, Kraft Heinz, and S.C. Johnson, where he launched innovative products that generated over $60 million in sales and earned five innovation patents. At The Libman Company, he doubled website traffic and successfully introduced national TV advertising campaigns.

Through his consulting firm, Minor On Marketing, Eric continues to actively shape marketing strategies for organizations of all sizes. His teaching approach combines analytical rigor with creative thinking, helping students understand both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of marketing principles. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
