Anuj Gangopadhyaya
Assistant Professor of Economics
Anuj Gangopadhyaya is an assistant professor of economics at Loyola University Chicago. His research examines the impact of safety net programs on health and well-being, family income, and educational achievement outcomes for children in low-income families.
He has studied the effects of Medicaid eligibility expansions on children's educational achievement, the maternal and child health outcomes associated with the Earned Income Tax Credit, and the impact of the Affordable Care Act Medicaid expansion on adult labor supply and fertility rates among women of reproductive age.
Before joining Loyola, Gangopadhyaya was a senior research associate in the Health Policy Center at the Urban Institute, where he conducted applied economic research on Medicare and Medicaid policy.
