Janeen Ebster Davis

Adjunct Instructor of Marketing

Janeen has over 30 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry. She earned her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her M.A. in Communication Studies from Governors State University, crediting both programs with shaping her interdisciplinary approach.

An early pioneer in context planning, Janeen helped introduce a now widely adopted, channel-agnostic approach to strategic planning. She has worked across creative, brand, PR, digital, shopper, and media agencies, with a passion for helping brands cultivate meaningful consumer relationships in an increasingly cluttered communications landscape.

Her strategies have contributed to market share growth for clients such as McDonald’s, Toyota, P&G, SCJ, and MillerCoors. Her experience at agencies including Edelman, DDB, FCB, and Burrell has been integral to her journey, demonstrating her expertise in brand building, consumer insights, and marketing integration.

Beyond her professional work, Janeen is a self-proclaimed wanderlust who enjoys planning her next adventure with her three favorite travel companions: her husband, her passport, and her camera. She believes travel provides the cultural insights essential for strategic inspiration. She is also a RYT-200 yoga instructor and a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant®.
