QuinLab Behavioral Lab

The Quinlan School of Business Behavioral Lab (QuinLab) is an interdisciplinary research center for the behavioral sciences, providing an on-site space for Quinlan researchers to conduct innovative academic research on business-related topics involving human decision-making and behavior.

QuinLab purpose

Benefits for researchers

QuinLab serves as a valuable resource that contributes to the research mission at the Quinlan School of Business by helping to facilitate the study of cutting-edge business research on a variety of topics that aim to generate insights into how people think, feel, and behave.

The QuinLab facility offers flexibility in research design options, leveraging multiple computer-based platforms, traditional research methods, and a high degree of customization. QuinLab research projects are consistently presented at academic conferences and published in high impact scientific journals. This research will ultimately be seen by stakeholders and interested parties all over the world.

Benefits for students

The research participant pool involves students enrolled in business courses. Student research participation in QuinLab is intended to be an important experiential learning activity. Data aids decision making. The more we know, the better we can make decisions.

As a participant, students will be exposed to the various ways that researchers can ask questions and thus collect data from a focal population. They will see how research happens in the real-world. In the short run, students will have the opportunity to participate in research studies and learn from top researchers. In the long run, their participation in QuinLab will feed directly into research that elevates the prestige of the school and ultimately affects the quality of their degree.

This gives students a front row seat to new knowledge creation, which is something that they can bring directly into the job market to share with future employers.
