San Francisco: Exploring San Francisco

Being in San Francisco seems so surreal. When I was accepted to participate in this program, I was so excited, but I never really thought the day would come! Now that I am here, I am enjoying every moment with a look of wonder and fascination in my eyes. I treasure each picture I take, though many, and I continue to learn more about the interesting lives that my peers lead. Even after knowing these people for a few days, I feel as if I've known them for a lifetime. I am surrounded by a fantastic group of motivated individuals who inspire me, in turn, to become a better version of my professional self; and for that I am thankful.

As someone who has been wanting to visit the National Parks of the U.S., it was amazing to visit Muir Woods alongside the Golden Gate Bridge. I was excited to visit my first national park, and I have since been inspired to visit many more around the United States. The sites were simply breathtaking, both literally and figuratively. The air in the forest was cool and fresh and the vibrant red color of the bridge was mesmerizing. I just could not stop smiling the whole day! Each location that we visited had an important story to tell, and I was excited to learn the unique history of San Francisco's jewels. Despite the weather forecast saying that the whole week will be rainy, our group was able to enjoy a little bit of the California sun, which further accentuated the excitement among the group. Speaking on behalf of the rest of the Quinlan Ramble participants, I can confidently say that we all had an amazing and memorable time that we will be looking back on in the future.

These first few days in San Francisco have already made my whole experience. The city is filled with unique places to explore, and I am excited to venture through the city with each site visit we have with great companies.  With all I have seen so far, I just know that whatever's next will leave me in awe just like I had this weekend. I am grateful to be a part of the Quinlan Ramble and I can't wait to see what's in store in the coming days.
