On Wednesday, we visited Reach Capital and it was a lovely experience.  Our connection with them is via  Loyola alumna Jennifer Carolan. She is the co-founder of Reach Capital. It was fascinating to hear the story behind Reach Capital. Jennifer, as a student, analyzed some loopholes in the education system, such as segregation and inaccessibility for students with underprivileged backgrounds, and she wanted to be the part of a change to make education more accessible for all. The fruition of the initiatives she took were presented in the form of a great firm she co-founded, Reach Capital. Reach Capital is an EdTech firm that invests in education.

Coming from Pakistan to attending a high school in Massachusetts to a college in Chicago, I can speak first hand on the paramount importance of a world class education. Pushing myself outside my comfort zone and receiving the support of great people around me allowed me to embark on my educational sojourn; however, it is unfortunate that there are people who are not able to access education due to their underprivileged status, whether that is due to their financial situation, race, religion or disability.

It was great to see the effort Reach Capital is doing to make a positive impact in our community and make education more equitable, inclusive and accessible. It was our pleasure to visit Reach Capital and meet their team. We hope to stay connected!
