Today was one for the books, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings us," wrote Farheen Saiyed (BBA ’25).

Today, we had our first two site visits! We went to Salesforce and Frec, which were amazing experiences. The Salesforce Tower is remarkable in the San Francisco skyline and the inside is no exception. The interior of the tower showcases the company’s four core values: Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, and Equality. The emphasis on employee accessibility to the beautiful San Francisco views and care for employee success is evident through the design of the tower. We learned more about Salesforce through lovely Loyola Alumni Joe Poch and Brittney Marshall, in addition to Kiana Parker, who shared their experiences with the company and how Loyola and their non-linear paths shaped who they are today. They made the experience even more rewarding and enjoyable. We even enjoyed coffee and tea from the lovely baristas on the famous Ohana floor! Overall, it was an amazing learning experience and I am so grateful.
Next, we enjoyed some Chipotle with the group and walked to the Salesforce park, which is actually open to the public! The park has stunning views of the city as well as many species of plants which brighten the landscape. We then visited Frec, a Fintech startup with incredible employees! We were hosted by Ashley Rodabaugh, a Quinlan Alum who, along with Dimitri Rodrigo, taught us about their incredible startup and how they function. They were kind enough to answer our questions and offer advice for us students as we begin thinking about career choices and paths.
We ended the night with dinner at Original Joe’s which was my favorite meal on the Ramble so far! Ami had me give a toast to the group, which was a really wholesome moment and a little scary as it was my first time delivering a toast. For dinner I had a Shrimp Scampi which was incredible. Shout-out to our amazing waiter who came around with parmesan cheese and said “I’ll keep adding spoonfuls, just let me know when to stop”! I also ordered a virgin margarita which was not my favorite but, hey, there’s a first time for everything! The evening was filled with laughter, storytelling, bonding, and making more memories with the Quinlan Ramble group. Today was one for the books, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings us!
