Day four was definitely one for the books! We started the day by having a nice group lunch at 21st Amendment Restaurant. This was a great opportunity for all of us to continue connecting and discussing our personal takeaways from the trip so far. After our lunch, we had the pleasure of visiting Reach Capital, co-founded by alum Jennifer Carolan. Reach Capital is a venture capital firm that primarily invests in education-technology companies. This was definitely one of my favorite site visits so far. It was amazing to hear how Jennifer combined a career in business with her true passions. As a finance major, I never truly considered how I can combine my personal ambitions and philanthropic goals with my career.
After a great chat and learning experience with Jennifer at Reach Capital, we all got some free time to spend the day how we wanted! A group of us decided to venture down to Fisherman's Wharf to walk around and stop in some shops. We all bought some sweatshirts and souvenirs to remember our time here in San Francisco. Then we decided to stop for dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp! This meal was so great, and the fun atmosphere was a great addition to the trip. Next on our to-do list is to watch the movie Forrest Gump all together!
This was such a great Wednesday. I am so excited to be visiting Gilead Sciences and Meta tomorrow! Our trip keeps getting better and better.
