New York City: Back for Round Two

A background of the New York City skyline with the words Quinlan Ramble, Spring Break 2024 over it.

"I am excited to meet alumni during the alumni reception and hear their stories from undergrad; I love hearing others’ experiences and how they shaped them into who they are today," wrote Farheen Saiyed (BBA ’25).

I can’t believe the Quinlan Ramble is already here. I am beyond excited and cannot wait to see what this trip brings us! Right now, I’m feeling a mix of excitement, nervousness, and anticipation. As a Ramble Returner, I can’t wait to experience the Ramble once again, this time in New York City. The Ramble last year fully exceeded my expectations and it was by far my most memorable college experience, so needless to say the Quinlan Ramble to New York is going to be a special trip for sure. I am looking forward to meeting the incredible Quinlan alumni at their respective companies and seeing how their Quinlan education prepared them for their successes post-grad. As a finance major that loves everything related to asset management and traveling, I am especially looking forward to visiting Cerberus Capital Management and touring the United Nations! It will be fascinating to see how they operate on a day-to-day basis given the drastic changes in corporate culture post-pandemic as well as the development of current geopolitical events.

I am excited to meet alumni during the alumni reception and hear their stories from undergrad; I love hearing others’ experiences and how they shaped them into who they are today. Lastly, I am eager to do all of the fun touristy things we have planned; taking a stroll through Central Park and Times Square, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, visiting outdoor vintage markets, going on ferries, you name it. Not to mention all the amazing food New York City has to offer!

As we near our departure, I can’t help but think how lucky we are to be at an institution that cares deeply about the success of its students through unique experiences such as the Quinlan Ramble. I am honored to be here experiencing this once again alongside such intelligent students as well as our exceptional program coordinators, Allison Davis and Patty Hernandez. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a Returner and make the most out of this trip not only for myself but for my peers. I hope to give them the same amazing experience in the Ramble that I was fortunate enough to have, and empower them to go forth and set the world on fire. New York City, here we come!
