About

Osman Abraz is an industrious, hands-on IT executive with over 30 years of significant experience in building and leading IT operations, strategically and cost-effectively utilizing technology in alignment with corporate goals, and maintaining focus on achieving bottom-line improvements while formulating advanced business solutions to meet diverse needs. Osman has specialized in strategic planning, organizational development, change management, project management, implementation of best practice methodologies, compliance, ethics and risk management, business intelligence and analytics.

Osman has worked as the Management Information Systems Manager at Turkish Aerospace Industries and attended Aerospace Industries MIS Management training program at the General Dynamics Aerospace Industries HQ in Texas. After working as Director of IT and VP of IT in companies in Industrial Products and Consumer Goods sectors, he finally joined Diageo Turkey in 2004 as their CIO, where he led the development of ERP, CRM, Sales Force Automation, Logistics Planning and Operation, and Business Intelligence and Analytical Reporting Systems. He also led the Information Security and Compliance operations before his retirement in 2017.

Osman’s relationship with Loyola started in 2014 when he lectured on Operational Risk Management as part of Enterprise Risk Management Certification program. In January 2018 he started teaching Business Analytics and Strategic Use of Technology.

Osman is a member of Turkish Information Technology Foundation where he served as a member of the Board of Directors, and member of Ethics Committee.

He served as a Member of Advisory Board of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, Bogazici University between 2010 and 2014.
