Since launching his fundraising career in 1997, Michael Cleavenger has facilitated raising more than $100 million for capital projects and has served organizations including the Illinois Institute of Technology, the Chicago History Museum, La Rabida Children’s Hospital, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (which is now the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab). Most recently, he served as the senior director of development for Episcopal Charities and Community Services.
A lifelong Chicagoan, Michael graduated from Colgate University, double majoring in economics and English. He attended the Executive Program at the University of Chicago and has a certificate from the Center for Nonprofit Management Programs at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
