Barrett Barscz, a recipient of the Robert and Betty Parkinson Social Justice Scholars Award, is grateful for the opportunity to attend Loyola and live in Chicago. In addition to working as a Patient Care Tech at Northwestern Medicine, he participated in faculty-led research related to institutional racism outcomes for transplant patients and sports performance testing. A pre-med student, he is also a member of the Public Health Club and Pre-Health Society. He looks forward to motivating individuals to embrace positive lifestyle behaviors.
