Instructor, Healthcare Administration

Education
  • BS, Loyola University Chicago, Bachelors
  • MS, North Park University

What prompted you to pursue your field?

My initial career was Nursing - I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else but being a nurse. I did my undergraduate studies at Loyola. Along with all the curriculum surrounding the study of nursing, Loyola instilled the foundation to be future leaders in healthcare.

What's it like to teach at Parkinson?

I'm excited to be back at Loyola so I can share what the healthcare industry continues to teach me to students looking to join the team. Most nurses follow the leadership path in the clinical arena but I have used my clinical base to relate to physicians and clinical teams as we guide them through the everchanging finances and quality measures of today's healthcare systems.

Why is this area of study important at this point in time?

So many people look at healthcare as being a career for doctors and nurses but there are so many great careers to be had and I enjoy opening the doors for young, talented students to get a peek into an exciting world to work in.
