The staff in OSCCR is available to support campus partners and student groups by facilitating workshops, training sessions, and presentations by request.

Requests should be submitted a MINIMUM of two weeks in advance, and should be scheduled between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Below, you can review some of the topics that OSCCR frequently offers. To request one of these topics, or to discuss an alternative topic to best suit your current needs, please complete the OSCCR Request Form.

This session explores how conflict can impact dynamic environments. Various components to this session include: understanding personal conflict styles, exploring meaningful response to conflict, and learning conversational tools and skills to apply in everyday life. Ideal length is 60-120 minutes.

Intentional, respectful dialogue can break down unnecessary barriers to communication. This session seeks to help participants consider how skills such as active listening, alternative perspective-taking, and reframing can assist them in communicating more intentionally and effectively. Ideal length is 60-90 minutes.

The Community Standards are the baseline expectations for all Loyola University Chicago students. They are more than just a “rule book”, and offer important information about University definitions and procedures. How well do YOU know the Community Standards? Ideal length is 30-60 minutes.

When working with systems and procedures that involve multiple people, clear and effective documentation can often greatly enhance efficiency and quality. Using incident reports and decision rationales as guides, this session will highlight best practices for documenting behavior, communication, and policy interpretation. Ideal length is 60 minutes.
