Finding Funding and Grant Preparation Basics Workshop
Dear Loyola Colleagues,
The Office of Research Services (ORS) is pleased to invite you to a workshop On “Finding Funding and Grant Preparation Basics” for faculty and relevant staff. The workshop, presented by Gloria Hunter from the Hunter Entrepreneurial Institute, is designed to give faculty members information that will assist them in finding and obtaining funding for their projects. Attendees will be presented with a “nuts and bolts” orientation to the grant process, including:
- Government vs. private funding
- Overview of the major federal funding agencies
- Parts of a proposal narrative (e.g., goals and objectives, specific aims)
- Interacting with a funding agency (program officers)
- The grant review process

PLEASE BRING A LAPTOP OR TABLET WITH KEY BOARD and your grant idea.
You will be doing research on the net and downloading material from websites.
