Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy (CUERP)

The Second International Conference on Environmental Pollution, Restoration and Management, organized and sponsored by CUERP (lead by Dr. Tham Hoang) was held in in Hanoi, March 4-8, 2013, jointly with the Hanoi University of Science and the SETAC Pacific Geographic Unit.

The conference theme was “Enhancing Environmental Research and Education in Developing Countries” and included sessions on environmental risk assessment for common chemicals, water quality guidelines, and human health risk assessment. This very successful conference was attended by approximately 200 participants from 35 countries.

Sponsors were LUC, Hanoi University of Science, SETAC, the International Copper Assn., the International Zinc Assn., the International Nickel Assn., and the Nickel Producers Environmental Research Assn. (NIPERA).
