Family & Guests
Welcome to the Loyola Community
Orientation, and the transition to college, is a family event, and we want you to know that the faculty and staff of Loyola University Chicago are dedicated to supporting and easing your family's transition to Loyola. We're here to help during every step of the process.
As part of this transition, we encourage students to bring up to two parents, family members, or other guests with them to orientation to participate in our optional, concurrent, parent/guest orientation program. Students can register up to two guests in their Student Portal when they register for orientation. Please make sure this information is accurate and up-to-date as each guest will receive a name tag at check-in, and each family will receive a tote bag of materials.
Guests are also welcome to attend a virtual session in addition or in lieu of attending an in-person session. Virtual guest programming will take place on May 21, June 28, and July 12.
We look forward to acclimating you to the Loyola community, and the many academic, personal, social, and spiritual resources and opportunities available to support your student's learning and development. Most of all, we hope that you are enjoying this exciting time in your and your student's life.
If your student has questions about what needs to be completed prior to Orientation, please refer them to the Before Orientation page. To learn more about your student's specific Orientation program, please select the option for either First-Year or Transfer student Orientation. You can also contact us at orientation@luc.edu with questions or concerns.
