Why did you choose to attend Loyola?

I chose Loyola because of the university's passion for social justice and its Community Counseling program that feeds off of that passion. Loyola is close to home so being able to go to school full time while staying close to family and friends was important to me. Loyola is also in Chicago, a city full of diversity and culture, which I hope to become a part of during my time at Loyola.

What has been your favorite event at the International House?

The Summer Session has just started so I can’t say that there is one particular event, but I have so enjoyed checking students into the house and meeting new faces.

Where do you go in Chicago for fun?

I love to go to different restaurants and coffee shops. Some of my favorites include ipsento, intelligentsia, J. Parker, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Big Star Taco and many others! I also love going to the beach. I ride my bike to the beach any chance I get! My favorite is Pratt Beach which is close to the Lake Shore Campus!

Have you traveled anywhere outside of the U.S.?

I have traveled to Ireland, Scotland, France, Ukraine, and Mexico. My favorite place I have traveled to is Ireland. It is such a beautiful country with incredible people.

What will you miss most about the I-House?

Being able to meet people from all over the world in one place!
