Mission Integration Faculty Seminar

The Mission Integration Faculty Seminar is designed to deepen our shared purpose and community strength. The seminar is open to all full-time faculty, but especially geared toward those who are in their third year at Loyola. The seminar is relevant for an individual from any or no faith tradition.

The seminar will include seven, 75-minute sessions that focus on how Loyola’s Jesuit Catholic mission can support and deepen faculty engagement and community. Led by award-winning, highly accomplished senior faculty members, topics will include:

  • The history of Loyola University Chicago
  • The Ignatian tradition of transformative teaching
  • Choosing research in alignment with personal and professional values
  • The importance of service in a Jesuit institution

The goal of each session is to provide a space for learning about Loyola’s rich, Jesuit Catholic mission, demonstrate the tradition’s relevance to all facets of faculty life, reflect on the relationship between the University’s mission and the faculty’s personal ethos, and create an interdisciplinary community.
