STAT 410: Categorical Data Analysis

Prerequisites: Some background in basic statistical methods or biostatistics, or permission of instructor.
Description:  This course provides an introduction to modern-day extensions of simple linear regression and ANOVA to the chi-square test including logistic regression and log-linear modeling techniques based on generalized linear models. Specialized methods for ordinal data, small samples, multi-category data, and matched pairs will also be discussed. The focus throughout this course will be on applications and real-life data sets.
