Critical Inquiry and Engagement
Saturday, April 13th, 2019
As part of the university-wide Weekend of Excellence, the Undergraduate Research & Engagement Symposium showcases undergraduate research and community engagement at Loyola University Chicago. This year's theme is Critical Inquiry and Engagement, which celebrates student research, scholarship, and creative activity. This theme honors the various ways Loyola undergraduate students explore, inquire into, and reflect upon the process of co-creating knowledge through research, community-based learning, and learning portfolios.
The symposium features oral and poster presentations on undergraduate research and community engagement projects supported by LUROP fellowships, external programs, academic courses, service-learning experiences, internships, or community partnerships. The Undergraduate Research & Engagement Symposium engages the diverse ways undergraduate students advance Loyola’s Jesuit mission of “expanding knowledge in service to humanity through learning, justice, and faith.”
