About

Steven Montalto is an attorney at Cassiday Schade LLP.  He concentrates his practice in construction, products liability and general liability defense.

Mr. Montalto earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Public Interest Law Reporter and in-house director of the Moot Court Program. During that time, Mr. Montalto was also named a member of the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Team, a staff writer for the Annals of Health Law Advance Directive and president of Loyola’s Justinian Society of Lawyers.  He was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu honor society and received CALI Awards for Excellence in: Advocacy, Litigation Process and Technique, Personal Injury Law and Advocacy, Community Law Center Clinic and Religious Liberty.

Prior to joining Cassiday, Mr. Montalto gained valuable litigation experience as a law clerk for a Chicago firm and as an extern for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.  He also represented children as a guardian ad litem in the Circuit Court of Cook County Probate Division with use of an Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 license. 

Mr. Montalto earned his B.A., cum laude, from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois and is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois.
