Title/s: Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office
Elizabeth is an Assistant Attorney General in the Special Litigation Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. The Special Litigation Bureau primarily handles complex investigations, affirmative action, and civil-enforcement actions against public officials. Elizabeth is responsible for all aspects of the investigation and litigation of her assigned cases, including issuing subpoenas, investigative memoranda, pleadings, discovery, court appearances, witness interviews, depositions, and settlements.
Before becoming an Assistant Attorney General, Elizabeth clerked for the Staff Attorney’s Office of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. In that position, Elizabeth drafted bench memoranda and orders, attended oral arguments and judicial conferences, and recommended and collected votes on motions. While a law student, Elizabeth interned with several federal agencies, including the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the U.S. Department of Education.
