About

James J. Chandler is Deputy Supervisor of the Civil Rights Section at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.  Prior to joining the CCSAO, he was Deputy Chief of the General Law Bureau at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.  He also spent his first ten years of practice in the private sector primarily in tort defense.  He has extensive experience first chairing jury and bench trials as well as binding and non-binding arbitrations and mediations.  Additionally, he currently is an adjunct professor at Loyola University School of Law.

James earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2000 and his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 1997.
