Why did you decide to attend Loyola’s Weekend JD program?
Loyola has an excellent reputation and came highly recommended from multiple School of Law graduates. The weekend program fit my work schedule much better than a traditional part-time evening program.
What do you like best about the program?
Compared to the shorter class periods of the full-time program, the Weekend JD’s longer class periods allow students to dive deeper into the curriculum and engage in a more thorough discussion of case topics. The technology Loyola utilizes outside of the classroom allows students to study at times that fit their busy schedules while allowing the professors and students to remain in close contact. I feel very connected to Loyola even during the breaks between on-campus classes.
What do you plan to do with your law degree?
I haven’t decided yet. I’m a student fellow in Loyola’s Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy Fellowship Program and I’m very interested in the evolving role that technology plays in the future of healthcare and how it will continue to change over time.
What advice can you give prospective students interested in applying to Loyola’s Weekend JD program?
Reach out to the law faculty at Loyola or anyone who is currently enrolled in the program. I’m confident they’ll enthusiastically recommend Loyola and help to connect you with someone who has a similar background or interests and can offer you advice or information that is specific to your work/life circumstances.
